Rolf E. Vrolijk
Rolf Vrolijk was born in 1948 in the Netherlands, where he also studied Naval Architecture at the University of Delft. Together with Fietje Judel he founded the company judel/vrolijk in 1978 in Hamburg. In 2003 he won the America's Cup with Team Alinghi, where he had the role of Chief Designer. Through Team Alinghi's win, the "Cup" came to Europe for the first time.
Torsten Conradi, born in 1956, studied Naval Architecture in Hannover und Hamburg, followed by 5 years research in the area of Aero- and –Hydrodynamics of yachts. In 1986 he became the third partner of judel/vrolijk & co, and he is currently the president of the DBSV, Chairman of the yacht committee of Germanischer Lloyd and member of the technical advisory body. He enjoys racing and cruising, and is married with four children.
